H. Stagnari is a winery focused on the production of premium wines,  which are made with its own grapes from its two vineyards: La Puebla – Canelones (white grapes) and La Caballada – Salto (red grapes).

In 1874, Pascual Harriague, a French Basque immigrant, introduced the Tannat grape variety to Uruguay for the first time,  which would become the mother variety of Uruguayan viticulture. Harriague came to cultivate some 200 hectares of Tannat in the area of ​​"La Caballada", in "Nueva Hespérides" in Salto. This is a good part of the secret by which Vinos Finos H. Stagnari produces the most awarded Tannat wine in the world .

It is a blend of 7 red and 1 white variety that were harvested by hand in the Cabalda vineyard in the Salto and Puebla departments in Canelones.
